Airport Authority
The Airport Authority is responsible for the management, operation, and development of Chandler’s airport facilities. It oversees airport policies, budgeting, safety, and compliance with federal and state aviation regulations. The Authority works to promote air travel, support economic development, and maintain efficient, secure, and accessible airport services for the community. The Authority is comprised of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.

Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment hears and decides requests for exceptions to Chandler’s zoning regulations. This includes variances, special exceptions, and appeals of decisions made by zoning officials. The Board ensures that zoning laws are applied fairly and considers cases where strict enforcement would cause unnecessary hardship, while still maintaining the intent and integrity of the zoning ordinance. The Board provides recommendations to the Planning Commission, Mayor, and City Council. Board members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.

Community Development Trust Authority
The Community Development Trust Authority supports and manages initiatives that promote community revitalization, economic development, and partnering with public and private stakeholders to stimulate investment in Chandler. The Authority preserves heritage, promotes recreational opportunities, educational activities, community and civic events, economic and tourism growth. The Authority is comprised of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.

Economic Development Trust Authority
The Economic Development Trust Authority promotes job creation, business growth, and overall economic vitality in Chandler. It manages and distributes funds, oversees development projects, provides support for local businesses, and attracts new investment to the area. The Authority works to implement economic strategies that align with the community’s goals and foster a strong, diverse local economy. The Authority is comprised of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.

Library Board
The Library Board oversees the operation and strategic direction of the Chandler Public Library. It helps establish policies, approves budgets, advocates for library services, and ensures the library meets the educational, informational, and cultural needs of the community. The Board is comprised of five members appointed by the Board and confirmed by the Council.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission helps guide the physical development of a community. It reviews proposals for land use, zoning changes, subdivisions, and development plans to ensure they align with Chandler’s comprehensive plan, zoning ordinances, and long-term goals. The Commission provides recommendations to the City Council and plays a key role in promoting orderly growth, protecting property values, and preserving the community’s character. The Commission is comprised of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
