The City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and supervises all branches of the City service, except those otherwise provided for in the City Charter. Branches include Administration, Code Enforcement, Fire, Library, Police, and Public Works.
The City Manager, appointed by the City Council, is charged with enforcing the City’s laws and ordinances. In doing so, the City Manager must recommend and establish such administrative measures as are necessary to carry out the City Council’s policies and directives in the most efficient manner.
