Lake Fees
Updated Payment Options for Daily Lake Fees
The honor boxes at Bell Cow Lake and Chandler Lake are no longer used to collect daily lake fees for boating, fishing, or using the trails. Permit fees must be paid online through Venmo or Cash App, or permits can be purchased in-person at City Hall or at May Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram during business hours. Since City Hall is closed after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and closed on the weekend, the May dealership is an after-hours and weekend option. The dealership sells the lake permits on behalf of the City, so all permit revenue goes directly to the City.
Each area where payment boxes were previously located now has a posted sign with a QR code for onsite payment. Please see the PDF file attachment of that sign below. You may pay for multiple days at once. Annual permits must be purchased only at City Hall. Please refer to the current rates posted at the lakes or below. Utility bill payments will not be accepted by these payment methods. Municipal court citations will be issued for failure to pay lake use permit fees.

Annual permits are valid from January 1st - December 31st of every year.
Fishing
- Youth under 16 years of age fish for free.

Boating
- Boating fees are for motorized boats only.

Camping (limit 14 consecutive days)
- Sites must be reserved before being occupied. Reserve campsites and pavilions here.

Bow & Duck Hunting
- Bow (2 weeks) per hunt - $40.00

Duck hunt allows you to use your own boat to travel to and from the blind. A duck hunt permit is issued to an individual and includes the use of one blind for the season. Accompanying hunters are required to purchase a hunting-only permit and to possess written permission from the blind holder to hunt in the holder’s blind.
Bow and duck hunt sites on Chandler and Bell Cow lakes are assigned each year by a drawing conducted in August by the Lake Ranger. Bag limits and hunting dates are set by Federal or State authorities unless otherwise announced and/or posted at Lake Headquarters.
